By using PlagScanPro ("the Service," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.
Service Description
PlagScanPro is a free, no-signup tool that scans submitted text against live web pages to identify potential matches with existing online content. It is a source-based similarity checker intended to help writers, students, and editors spot overlap with published material on the web.
Accuracy of Results
Results provided by PlagScanPro are not guaranteed to be complete or accurate. The Service can produce false positives, false negatives, and missed matches, since it depends on what is publicly indexable on the web at the exact moment of your scan. Pages behind paywalls, private databases, offline documents, and very recently published content may not be detected. You should treat results as a helpful signal, not a definitive verdict, and apply your own judgment, or that of a qualified human reviewer, before relying on them for academic, legal, or professional decisions.
No AI-Content Detection
PlagScanPro checks for source-based plagiarism only, meaning it compares your text against existing content already published on the web. It does not detect whether text was generated by artificial intelligence, and a "clean" result is not a claim that the text is human-written or AI-free. Please do not represent PlagScanPro's output as an AI detection result.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use PlagScanPro to scan content you do not have the right to submit, to attempt to overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service, or to use automated scripts or bots to send excessive requests. We reserve the right to rate-limit or block traffic that we reasonably believe is abusive or harmful to the Service's availability for other users.
No Warranty
PlagScanPro is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We do not promise the Service will be error-free, always online, or suitable for every use case.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlagScanPro and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including academic, professional, financial, or reputational consequences resulting from reliance on scan results.
Intellectual Property
You retain all ownership rights to any text you submit for scanning. We do not claim ownership over your content, and because we do not store submissions, we hold no archive of it after your scan completes. The PlagScanPro name, logo, and website design are the property of their respective owners and may not be copied or reused without permission.
Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of PlagScanPro at any time, with or without notice. We aim to keep the core checker free and accessible without signup, but we are not obligated to maintain any specific feature indefinitely.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by applicable local law in the jurisdiction where PlagScanPro is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
