Privacy Policy
Here is exactly what happens to your text when you use PlagScanPro.
Last updated: June 17, 2026
Overview
PlagScanPro is a free, source-based plagiarism checker. You paste or upload text, we scan live web pages to look for matching content, and we show you the results. That is the entire interaction. This policy explains what data is involved at each step and why there is very little to disclose: we built PlagScanPro specifically to avoid collecting things we do not need.
No Data Storage
PlagScanPro does not store the text you submit. Your content is processed in memory for the duration of the scan, used to generate your results, and then discarded. We do not keep copies of submitted text, save scan history, or build a database of documents that have passed through the tool. Once you close the tab or start a new scan, your previous submission is gone from our side.
No Account Required
There is no signup, login, or account system on PlagScanPro. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other identifying information to use the checker. Because there is no account, there is no profile, password, or personal record tied to your usage that we could lose, share, or misuse.
How Scanning Works
When you submit text, PlagScanPro searches and compares it against live, publicly available web pages at the time of your scan. We do not maintain our own archive of past submissions to compare against, and we do not retroactively rescan your content later. The comparison happens once, in real time, and the results reflect what was publicly accessible on the web at that moment.
Third-Party Sources
To compare your text, PlagScanPro queries external web pages and, where applicable, third-party search or indexing services. Snippets of your submitted text may be sent to these services solely to perform the comparison. We choose providers that do not require us to create user accounts on your behalf, but we encourage you to avoid pasting sensitive, confidential, or personally identifying content into any online tool, including this one.
Children's Privacy
PlagScanPro is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, regardless of age, because the tool does not collect personal information at all by design.
Changes to This Policy
If our practices change, for example if we ever introduce optional accounts or new features that involve data storage, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. We recommend checking back periodically if you rely on PlagScanPro regularly.
